The erratic Chicago weather really makes it impossible for a smooth transition from one season to the next. It can be in the 80's feeling like summer one day and cold rainy and on the verge of winter the next. Some things I will never understand. Aside from mother nature being unhelpful to the style obsessed people of Chicago, it is always great to be able to mix your summer pieces with the chunky knits and oversize scarfs of fall. In the early, usually warmer, days of fall you can easily mix and match the two seasons wardrobe.
Keeping it casual for a day of roaming the city I paired this loose, flowy tank dress with a big chunky black knit and some booties. As usual my accessories are the making the statement in the look. A floppy summer hat adds to the girly side of the look while the studded bag and stone jewelry gives it an edgy touch. If you haven't picked up on it yet I am not one to conform to a particular style. I love mixing and matching different elements to make the look all my own.
