Lately I've been on the lookout for shirts and blouses. Something more business appropriate than my usual t-shirt but still sticking to basics I love AKA something minimal in patterns and in the neutral 'colors' I gravitate to. I picked up this shirt on a whim while out shopping with my mom. I was immediately drawn to the stone gray color. What really sold me was the slouchy oversize feel (keep it comfortable) and the split at the lower portion of the back. A touch of detail without being too much. To keep it chic but casual I paired it with a structured bag, detailed heels, and my favorite, distressed denim. I honestly prefer the look of destroyed jeans no matter how many times someone jokingly asks if I actually bought them like that. The finishing touch to this look is some gorgeous one of a kind jewelry. I've always loved letting my bags and shoes do the talking over my usually simple look but I've learned recently a few small pieces of jewelry can really pull everything together. This dainty shark tooth necklace was a sporadic choice, but has easily become one of my favorite necklaces. Overall this look can perform double duty which is exactly what a busy student like me needs. An easy transition between class, work, and social gatherings.
